OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry its 7>42

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x<-7

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks but how do you do it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You Take 7-42 Then Divide 5 By 35

ohhhhhhh

solving inequalities is just like solving equations except for one very important rule. When multiplying/dividing by a negative number, you have to flip the inequality sign. -5x + 7 > 42 --- subtract 7 from both sides -5x > 42 - 7 -5x > 35 -- now divide both sides by 05 and change the inequality sign x < - 7
