Carbon is a greenhouse gas, so destroying the plants that transform carbon into oxygen is linked to global warming.  So are fertilizers, which increase the carrying capacity of photosynthic plants.  And burning fossil fuels increases the amount of carbon into the atmosphere.  
So yes, it is all of the above.
