PLEASE CHECK MY WORK: OXIDATION PROBLEM I don't have wifi and I'm at the library and my time is about to run out in 10 minutes. please help asap!!! What chemical is reduced in the following reaction: Mg + 2HCl → MgCl2 + H2 Select one: a. Mg b. HCl c. MgCl2 d. Not a REDOX reaction I thought H goes from +1 to zero in this reaction, meaning a GAIN of electrons. Therefore a reduction. Would that make the answer HCl??? @dtan5457 @aaronq @abb0t @cp9454
