will fan+medal!! please help!! Keisha surveyed a group of people to find their age and their shoe size. She then graphed the order pairs (age, shoe size) for each person. Which of the scatter plots most likely represents her graph?
My guess would be Graph III?
Would you know this one? @robtobey
well if the people were all adults then I see no reason why there should be a correlation between age and shoe size. Your shoe size would stay more or less the same after maturity.
yes, i agree but they send just a group of people, not really a specific age group?

yes if there were children amongst the group then shoe size would vary with age.
So, would it be graph III? :)
if there was a steady increase in age throughout the group then yes III
Im not sure if there was a steady increase in age though?
yes thats my point Its a strange question. Up to age 20 ( i guess) you foot size would increase but then it would stay the same for the rest of your life.
So, what graph would it be then?
I'm not sure but I would guess II
no correlation
oh okay, thanks!! could you do 1 more similar question?
sorry i cant be more definite
well - try me!
okay! :) hold on...
Fernando surveyed a group of people to find their shoe size and the number of children in their family. He graphed the ordered pairs (shoe size, number of children) for each person. Which of the scatter plots most likely represents his graph?
if they are all adults, there is no correlation (II) If the ages are the various ages during development to maturity, then it is III.
Im not sure, because it gives no information on ages @jherrera57
this one will be 3 as the age increases so will the shoe size
definitely III
for the one about fernando?
yes
thanks then!!
