Cos B= 0.5299 I got 58 degrees, but the answer is 32 am I doing this wrong? I'm doing the inverse of cosine in the calculator

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

I get 58 as well...is that the whole question?

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

hmmm 58 looks good, if you're looking for the angle but if you could post a quick screenshot of the material, so we can see what's being asked, that'd do

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yes, maybe my teacher mistyped it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It pretty much said CosB=.5299 and find the degree of B

OpenStudy (jdoe0001):

so.. you're correct, so calmdown then =)

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[\cos(B)=.84805 \text{ has solution } B \approx 32^o\]

OpenStudy (freckles):

oh you know what

OpenStudy (freckles):

I bet they meant to be sin

OpenStudy (freckles):

\[\sin(B)=.5299 \text{ has solution } B \approx 32^o\]
