PLEASE HELP :))))) The cylinders are similar. Find the volume of the smaller cylinder. Round your answer to the nearest hundredth. A. 146.33 B. 146.58 C. 153.08 D. 153.24
@johnweldon1993 can you help with this too? :D
Trying to kill me XD Okay so same set up here We set up a proportion of height to radius \[\large \frac{H_{bigger}}{R_{Bigger}} = \frac{H_{smaller}}{R_{smaller}}\] \[\large \frac{11.6ft}{5.8ft} = \frac{x}{2.9ft}\] Solve for 'x' \[\large x = \frac{11.6ft \times 2.9ft}{5.8ft} = 5.8ft\] So now that we have the height of the smaller one, we can solve for the volume \[\large V = \pi r^2 h\] or for you \[\large V = \pi (2.9ft)^2 \times 5.8ft = ?\]
I got 153.12 :o @johnweldon1993 ??
Not quite what I get dont use 3.14 for pi use the actual pi button on a calculator :P
Whadja get! :D
