OpenStudy (naveen):

If you roll 6 fair die, what is the probability you will get exactly two results divisible by three. Is it 2/6*2/6*4/6*4/6*4/6*4/6 * 6!/2!*4! ?

OpenStudy (naveen):

Hold up @Naveen will find someone to help :D @dan815 @Preetha

OpenStudy (naveen):

thanks

OpenStudy (naveen):

I got 240/729

OpenStudy (dan815):

you roll 6 die, and you want to see the 3s and 6s how many ways 2 of 3s or 2 of 6s or 3 and 6 can be distributed in the 6 places

OpenStudy (naveen):

oh sorry, I don't think it is sums, I think it is just results, like how likely that 2 of the numbers 1-6 that show up will be divisible by 3

OpenStudy (dan815):

|dw:1431564172298:dw|

OpenStudy (dan815):

in general there is a 2/6 chance for there to be a result that is divisible by 3 and 4/6 hance it is not so

OpenStudy (naveen):

so I did it like:|dw:1431564256520:dw| since 2 out of the six outcomes are divisible by 6
