Which one is punctuated correctly? • Our sun is a star; astronomy is the study of objects in the sky. • Our sun is a star; the stars we see in the night sky are actually far-away suns.
A lil' confused on this one. Both seem fine. What am I missing?
Which one do you think the answer is?
The first one
But honestly both of them seem fine actually
Yes, the first one is Correct
I already narrowed this down. Why is the first one correct?
To make the second one correct, you would replace ; with a comma
But they could be separate sentences. right?
Yes they could
Why does the second one need a comma then? I need to know. lol
because that is how ; work (its hard to explain this :P)
; are used when you want to provide two different information in one sentence
