Determine whether the vectors u and v are parallel, orthogonal, or neither. u = <7, 2>, v = <21, 6> Neither Orthogonal Parallel None of these

OpenStudy (rational):

multiply the first vector by "3" what do you get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

How would i do that ? 3*<7,21> ?

OpenStudy (rational):

Yes, simply multiply each component by "3" : 3*<7, 2> <3*7, 3*2> <21, 6> which is same as the second vector, so the vectors in "same direction"

OpenStudy (rational):

vectors in same direction are also called "parallel"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Omg thank you .. i didnt understand what parallel ment in terms of this :x it was kind of a slow moment . thank you again

OpenStudy (rational):

yw!
