Help plz! Which statement about the presidential election process in the United States is true? A. A two-thirds majority of votes in the House of Representatives and the Senate is required to win. B. A simple majority of the popular vote is required in order to win. C. A three-quarters majority of votes by the Supreme Court justices is required to win. D. A simple majority of Electoral College votes is required in order to win.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well, since the popular vote doesn't matter whatsoever, the electoral college vote must be won with a simple majority of 270 elector votes. There are 538 votes so the answer is D.
