8. Identify the middle line for the function: f (t) = 5sec(3t − pi) + 1. A. y = 3---- B. y = 2 C. y = 1 D. y = 0 10. Determine the quadrant when the terminal side of the angle lies according to the following conditions: sin (t) < 0, csc (t) > 0. A.Quadrant II---- B.Quadrant IV C.Quadrant I D. Quadrant III
the mid line is the vertical phase shift, it is y =1
@Data_LG2
what??? for 10, \(csc = 1/sin \) hence if sin >0, how csc <0??? they can't happen at the same time
yeah 10 is hard. But im not sure about 8.
wait did you say 8 was 1? xD
@radar
For No. 10, for sine to be negative, then that means quadrant III and IIII. Now to find where csc is positive. Do you know what quadrants are positive csc?
um 1 and 4 right?
If that is correct then the answer is Quadrant IV, IIII, or 4.
Let me check with Mr. Google.
ok haha
@Loser66 sorry lol is middle line and phase shift the same thing?
Google says, same as Loser66, can't happen
hmm
would you agree that 8. is 1?
I don't know but Loser66 says it is, Loser66 is usually right.
ok :)
Good luck with these and stick with Loser66.
thanks for your service :)
