Technology brings magic into the picture..  it's power is to do large repetitive tasks at an insane speed; like encrypting 5.5 million characters of the king james bible in minutes.

Technology can also allow me to great applications with a GUI; making complex input/output machines easy to use.

It can also store massive amounts of data in databases; there really is no limit.

I know I'm not answering your question directly; these are just some pros of technology.
