Helpppppp pleasse! If S = {positive integers} and subset T = {positive integers divisible by 3}, what is T'? {3, 6, 9, 12, ...} {1, 2, 3, 4, 5, ...} {1, 2, 4, 5, 7, 8, ...} { } I have no idea but i know its not A :/

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

since T={3,6,9,................} and T'=U-T where U is universal set so T' is all numbers except number is in T.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I dont understand :(

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

ans---{1,2,4,5,7,8,10,11,13,.............}

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

since T has elements 3,6,9,...... which is divisible by 3 and T' that is complement of T has all elements except divisible by 3.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ahh i get it now!! are you completely sure? :)

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

yes always in set theory.

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

remember its T' that is T complements.that ( ' ) is important.

Thank you so much! :)) you where right!
