Distances with Pythagorean Theorem :) What is the length of stack B C with bar on top ? Round to the nearest tenth of a unit. A. 3.5 units B. 4.9 units C. 8.6 units D. 15.0 units Here is the graph: http://static.k12.com/calms_media/media/1578000_1578500/1578497/1/2e3205b3a461978c9643dbe7f49cbda43956f25f/MS_IMC-150122-130501.jpg
I did the problem twice and both of my answers were wrong, send help xD
@KyanTheDoodle
Honestly, I have no idea.
Oh my, its a bit of a tricky question I guess, do you know anyone who might be of aid?
@Agl202
Easy. |dw:1431635242935:dw| Just do the Pythagorean theorem.
Well I did that, but I got 2.8 as an answer...
Can I show you my equation?
Sure
BA=6-8=2 AC=8-6=2 2^2+2^2=BC 4+4=BC 8 Square route of 8 is 2.8
I just showed you in my diagram that the side lengths are 5 and 7. use those for A and B.
Alright, 25+49=74 And square route of that is 8.6! Thank you so much, the way it was taught in the lesson was a lot more complicated, I understand it now :)
No problem :)
Im going to close the question, I appreciate you helping me!
