for some reason when i type on firefox the typing ends up all messed up, and my chrome is crashing and not working so...any suggestions why the typing is only messed up on firefox?

You experience problems in both Chrome and FireFox. I would blame the computer. I encourage you to clear your cache.

Have you recently downloaded anything?
You might have a virus.
I would suggest getting a USB and transferring any important files, such as pictures onto the USB.
and restart your computer to a backed up save.

time for a new keyboard?  mine went out so i use a usb pluggin keyboard for it, and i cant stand a touchpad so i use a usb mouse as well.

You don't have to use your old laptop :P
Just load your current one to a backed up save before you got the virus.
It will delete anything you downloaded after the back up.
Including the virus.

Tip*  Don't download anything weird in the first place.
Make sure there is a virus scan certify on the site page of your download.
If you are ever downloading a program make sure it is on the original site and not a proxy.

If you are ever trying to download anything just ask me, I can find you an ACTUAL download and not a troll one.

NEVER do surveys in order to get to a download, they are scams, and if they actually do open up after you complete one, the download is most likely containing a virus.

Look at the comments of the download, the users are most likely going to point out any flaw of the download, including virus's.
