Eventually, the U.S. government recognized the injustice done to detained Japanese Americans and extended an official apology. A. True B. False
walcome back
its good to be back. hold on a sec im almost ready
false
Short Answer.....YES.....we not only apologized to the Japanese-Americans..... America paid reparations to the families of those detained...... The reparations was NEVER enough to compensate them for their losses..... vast tracks of farmland belonging to Japanese-Americans was confiscated.... billions in valuable acreage.... Notice something.....not all Germans were rounded up and put in camps.....Not all Italians were rounded up and put in camps And just for the record....when the Army took young men from those camps and made a unit to fight in Europe(442 Regimental Combat Team).....they became the most highly decorated Army unit in WW II Pat Morita from "Karate Kid" fame..... and George Takei from "Star Trek" fame were both kept in internment camps as children
