As iYuko said, what exactly is your research paper about? Did you need to research a specific topic, or are you allowed to choose your research topic? If it's the latter, then I can provide a few tips:
-Choose something that catches your interest
-Make sure that you narrow the topic down so that way your report won't be so big (unless the teacher specifically requires something like 10 pages worth of material, then aim for something that can be explained in 1-2, at most 3 pages)
-Also make sure that if you're researching something you're really interested in (such as a comic book series) to not go off topic and get unintentionally caught up in your fandom
-Make sure to properly credit all sources you use for your topic; you can credit them at the end of the paper. There are a bunch of websites that can help you properly cite your sources if you need be.
