Triangle help? find sin(a)?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

SOH CAH TOA \[\sin = \frac{opposite}{hypotenuse}\] Where 'A' is theta.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@♪Chibiterasu So if opp is 4 and hypotensue is 5, that means sin is 0.8 or 4/5 right? what's theta?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

please respond

OpenStudy (anonymous):

option A(4/5, 0.8) is equal to sin....Option B(4/3, 1.333R) is equal to theta...I don't know which to pick

OpenStudy (jadzia):

It is looking for sin(A), and trig ratio for sin is opposite over hypotenuse. what is the opposite side of angle A ? an what us the longest side if the triangle(hypotenuse) ?

OpenStudy (♪chibiterasu):

D-> S0rry, 1 g0t caught up 1n s0meth1ng. Theta 1s just the angle g1ven 1n the quest10n. 1n th1se case 1t 1s ask1ng f0r the s1ne 0f angle A, s0 angle A 1s theta.
