What does being an Ambassador mean? Sorry I am kinda new and I don't know what it means.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

@tobleronejesus Ambassadors are representatives of OpenStudy. We answer questions from new users. We welcome and greet users. It's our job to be the embodiment of OpenStudy's ideologies. Before I go any further, there are strict requirements you must meet. ◘ Be thirteen or older ◘ Have a form of ID - excluding a birth certificate ◘ Have no serious offenses on your record ◘ If you have serious offenses, an additional process may be required ◘ Have read the Code of Conduct and Terms, and understand the rules Do you meet these requirements? If so, then please read the next part of the process. There are some key behaviors that Ambassadors must express ◘ As an Ambassador, you agree to always be kind and understanding ◘ As an Ambassador you should let users know you appreciate them ◘ Congratulate and award positive behavior, and discourage negative behavior ◘ Lead by example! ◘ Respect the staff - never talk ill of OpenStudy ◘ Never disclose personal information if shared with you Do you feel like Ambassadorship is something you would want to do? Do you want a bright future with OpenStudy? Then become an Ambassador! [NOTE: The application, or form, is often subject to change. A message will be posted in either the Ambassador Group or OpenStudy Feedback with details on how to submit an application] You can contact @e.mccormick , @thomaster , @Ashleyisakitty or @shrutipande9 for additional Ambassador opportunities.

Thank you. I just wanted to know what it was because almost everyone that helps me out has the Purple A. Thank you for answering my questions about OpenStudy. :)

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

You're welcome. :)

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

They're the chosen team of os, and are carefully selected and examined. It's a very prestigious and honorable group of experienced users.

I have another question, Are non ambassadors allowed to show people around and welcome them? I taught someone how to ask questions on subjects and close them.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Yes. Everyone is allowed to do that. Being nice is completely fine. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@confluxepic lol okay. also are people from all over the world on OpenStudy?

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh that's cool. But it seems like the only people I see and help are from America.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Yeah. That's just the majority.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@confluxepic Thank you again. :)

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

You're welcome again. :)

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Yes. I didn't mean to forget him.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheSmartOne Thank you! I don't think i'm looking into being an Ambassador now, but maybe in the future.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Also how long does it take to get 99 Smart score? Im just wondering lol I'm at 59 and ive been on here for 3 weeks and it hasn't changed in a while.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

The upcoming batch is being announced on June 1st. SS is a relative scale, if you help a lot of people on a regular basis you can get to 99 SS in like a few months. One user got to 99SS in 33 days back-to-back. And he was new to OS back then. (User is @Abhisar ) Another user, iGreen, he made a second account iGreen. [with a dot at the end] and he got to 99SS in 18 days. He worked on random days however and they weren't back-to-back or consecutice days :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

consecutive*

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What is being announced on june 1st? and wow that's crazy. I help people pretty often, and get around 6 medals a day. But my score hasn't been changed in a few days.

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Ambassadors are being announced on June 1st.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh so like new ones join on June 1st?

eclipsedstar (eclipsedstar):

I did pretty well for being new and was on for consecutive days right? xD

OpenStudy (confluxepic):

Yes.
