Geometry help. See pic. Do I set it up to start as n+7 = 3n and solve for n?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Correct!

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And then you plug in what you get for n into what they gave you for the side lengths to get what XZ, VZ, and what YZ equal to.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok looks like n = 7/2 or 3.5. I got that part but I don't understand how to get the side lengths. No info is given for that

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

VZ = n + 7 plug in n=3.5 and you have your answer.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh duh I got it. Sorry been out for a long time.

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

and since VZ = XZ you don't really need to plug in anything you can just take what value you got last time. :P

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

And for ZY, 4n + 1 and n=3.5 :)

Thanks again!

Anytime :D
