5.5{2}+x{2}=11{2}

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the 2's are exponents

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

\(5.5^{2}+x^{2}=11^{2}\) this is what that looks like

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

just figure out the what the values of the exponents are (5.5)^2 =30.25 11^2=121

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

if you subtract 30.25 and add that to both sides you get \(x^{2}=90.75\)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

To solve, simply square both sides \(\Large\sqrt{x^{2}}=\Large\sqrt{90.75}\)

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

Plug \(\sqrt{90.45}\) into a calculator, and that is your answer. @jassthomas

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

oops sorry, i meant \(\sqrt{90.75}\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i just cantget any of the answers here, they are A.11/4 square root 3 B.60.5 C.30.25 D.121/4 square root 3
