OpenStudy (chris215):

Write a polynomial function of minimum degree with real coefficients whose zeros include those listed. Write the polynomial in standard form. 2, -4, and 1 + 3i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the polynomial is (x-2)(x + 4)(x - (1+3i)

OpenStudy (chris215):

what does the i mean

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i is an imaginary number

OpenStudy (chris215):

ok I simplified it but it doesn't match any of my answer choices

OpenStudy (chris215):

x^3+x^2−3x^2i−6xi−10x+8+24i

OpenStudy (anonymous):

let me guess if a polynomial has an imaginary root then it must occur in pairs but the question says that it had only one imaginary root which means that the polynomial has imaginary coefficients..please check the question
