Surface Area: S.A. = L.A. + 2B Lateral Area: L.A = ph (Perimeter and Height) So for the Lateral area multiply the perimeter and the height, and for the Surface Area multiply Perimeter times height plus the base. Hopefully this helps. Im not going to give you the answer im going to help you find the answer :P :)
i think @Stewpeas_0831 got everything you should be good but tag me if u need help
Kk
Don't forget to round though! I remember when I was in middle school, and that would always trip me up.
How do I find perimeter of this? My calculations are coming out wrong
Perimeter is all the side lengths of the prism added together.
The perimeter is what you get when you add all of the numbers together.
I keep getting 110.98 and multiplying that times 3 doesn't get it near where it should be.
Your answer should (exactly) 58.49, but your rounded answer should be 58... right @Kitty_Kat??
\[9.49 + 37 + 9 + 3 = 58.49 \]
But should it be multiplied by 3? That's the height.
Or the 9.49...
No don't multiply anything. Ill start you off; S.A. = L.A. + 2B = ph + 2B = (3 x 5) 8 + 2B 120 + 2B = 120 + 2(1/2 x 5 x 4.3) = 141.5 This is just an example of how to find Surface Area. Lateral Area = perimeter times height
