medal and fan if some one tells me why vinegar and baking soda react
because of an acid-base reaction. Baking soda is a bicarbonate (NaHCO3) and vinegar is an acetic acid (HCH3COO). One of the products this reaction creates is carbon dioxide.

well they call me the great fool for a reason dont they?
no thats what you call your self
why? you have got to be kidding, right :p they do react, and that is all we know for sure. what you are asking for is some exposition on some theory. not "why" because why is just nature, right?
^ what he said , science only explain so much till its just gets to the point : it is because thats just how it is , not really sure what more you were trying to accomplish with this question other than the straight scientific answer.
