OpenStudy (anonymous):

Identify the words that indicate mathematical operations

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtracted by, product, and cubed id say

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@TheSmartOne can you please me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@HelpMeAlgebra can you please help me

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

What does "product" mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it means multiply

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

and what is "the cube of a number"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

three times a number

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

looks like you got all of them covered...except for subtraction :P Now all you have to do is figure out a logical order, but I'm not even sure if that's necessary

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you figure that out

HanAkoSolo (jamierox4ev3r):

well if the problem says that "20 is being subtracted FROM" that implies ______ -20

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how do i do that

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

cube means a number times the same number times the same number. Not 3 times the same number...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so wat is the number we have to cube

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

that is what you are calculating :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok how do i calculate

OpenStudy (anonymous):

anyone please help me

OpenStudy (anonymous):

"Identify the words that indicate mathematical operations" I don't think you have to calculate anything. Just find the WORDS that refers to the operations that is used :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes you dont have to solve anything but how do i write it in words

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they are already in words?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The answer is (x^3+8)-20 ; x^3+8 = 20 x^3 = 12
