I feel guilty whenever I ask a math or chemistry question on OS. (^.^) I don't want to annoy anybody by asking so many questions, but at the same time I need help. I try to give back and answer questions in the subjects I'm strong in and I always medal the users who help me. I have no idea what the etiquette is to asking questions is on OS. Can someone explain?
giving a medal and saying your thanks ^.^
This is a study site never hesitate to get help! This is why this site even exists its for you to get help and you to help others! As long as you are polite thats all that matters if the other person is being rude pm them and say if you are struggling to answer my question i can ask someone else but be polite bout it :)
Never feel guilty to ask a question that should not be something you have to worry about especially on this site!
that is true. The vast majority of people on this site are helpful and polite.
.-. OS was kinda made for the sir /mam ._. to pay back tribute I help OS by answering questions for other users.
Thanks guys. I feel better now. :)
<3 @EmazingEm3399 so polite ^_^ me likey just make sure you set a good example for other people by actually getting help and not tolerating direct answers, it would be users like you that can help us get rid of this cheating problem >:D and personally, I help because I want to and helping with math is my passion when people ask me to help them over and over again I take it as the highest complement that they appreciate my help <3 it's not annoying at all! (unless they are gutting me for answers >.>)
you shouldn't feel guilty about asking, that's really what the site is for (sorry for echoing what everyone else has been saying) but you should also be willing to put the work/effort into trying to answer the question yourself. Don't be afraid of being wrong, it's actually refreshing to see people trying and people (at least myself) will be more willing to help you get the correct answer. good luck!
It's okay @EmazingEm3399 I feel the same way actually. Whenever I have trouble in something I would considering posting it on OpenStudy, but then again I get the feeling that it may be an "easy" question to post and will feel dumb for not knowing how to answer it myself. Most of the time I never end up posting them because of that :/ But it's okay, you should post freely on here when you need help :)
@lυἶცἶ0210 why so self concsious? you're perf ;*
You should never feel bad about asking questions. OpenStudy has needs two things to happen in order to survive. It needs people to ask and it needs people to answer. You are helping OpenStudy by asking questions. ^_^ And if you feel bad about asking too many questions then why not answer a few questions to keep the cycle going? :)
OS is designed for us to teach and learn. Ask questions is a part of the learning process, so don't feel bad. Though, if you really feel bad about receiving too much help for your questions, you can always offer help to others, which you have done :)
When you become stronger in a particular subject, you can help others who need the help. That is how you can give back.
