How do I find the missing sector of a circle?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

might help if we had more to work with, a whole circle, minus the part youve got would give you the part that missing

OpenStudy (amistre64):

and i always confuse segment and sector .... its like they were having a sale on 's' words that day

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I cant take pictures but the arc is 275 degrees with a radius of 8 the arc of the sector isn't there. I know I minus 275 degrees from 360 which is 85 but does that equal the angle or is it half of 85? so I can divide it by 360.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

|dw:1431826264349:dw| 275 and 85 add up to 360, they are the angles defined from the center of the circle.

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a circle is 360 degrees as a whole, so yes, 85 is the angle of the sector

OpenStudy (amistre64):

im assuming you are talking about central angles of course
