Arsat’s eyes wandered slowly, then stared at the rising sun. “I can see nothing,” he said half aloud to himself. “There is nothing,” said the white man, moving to the edge of the platform and waving his hand to his boat. How does this dialogue relate to Joseph Conrad’s message about life in “The Lagoon”? Conrad is saying that some people are just cynical about the world. Conrad is saying that all of life is an illusion. Conrad is saying that the white man has not understood the story. Conrad is saying that people are blinded by love. Would it be C ?
