If you like roleplay, go to a different external site, not os. Mods will just end up suspending users that don't follow the CoC. Go make a group chat for your roleplay friends so you can do what you want 24/7 and not face any punishment. xD

while role-play can be fun...there are others sites that were created specifically for that purpose.

It's hard to moderate role-play...what if a character that you're trying to role play is violent and foul mouthed? or is characterized by saying many innuendos? in the realm of role-play, there is a lot of gray area that moderators may struggle to define. As it may break the code of conduct here on OS, but it matches the role perfectly

and @Dreamer101 is right. I was just saying that certain sites were made to be more social. Regardless, always make good choices. as Eclipsed has already said, the purpose of OpenStudy is to make us better learners

Well, moderators have already deemed roleplay as not allowed. If you break the rules, then expect to get the punishment. Not trying to sound harsh, but rules are rules and if they're not followed, expect consequences.

I'm sorry that you're disappointed. But we have our reasons.
Remember, if you do want to role-play about being supernatural or whatever, as long as you aren't offending the other person or making them feel uncomfortable in any way (remember, don't be creepy, or make innuendos), then you can always do this via private messages. That's what they're for; they provide the middle ground for what you want to discuss with friends that may not be healthiest for chats

Roleplaying is not educational whatsoever and gets out of hand a lot of the time, so it will not be made a subject.

Non-educational topics will not be added to OpenStudy. They contravene the mission statement the site was built under. Furthermore, the admins have been looking into the possibility of a purge of many older, dead topics because they do not add to the value of the site. Adding yet one more that does not serve a purpose is certainly not going to happen when they even want to get rid of ones that serve a very small, former educational purpose.
