Can someone help me in math ?
post the question then someone will help
yes
If you Could give a Answer in explanation that would be nice.
notice how the boundary line goes through the y axis at (0,1) so the y-intercept is 1, which means b = 1 the slope of this boundary line is -3, so m = -3 so the boundary line is y = -3x + 1 or y = 1-3x
The boundary line is solid, so there will be an underline under the inequality sign. The shaded portion is below the boundary line, so the inequality sign will have an < in it (either with or without the underline)
So that's why the answer is \[\Large y \le 1-3x\]
Can you answer a few more that i have ?
@jim_thompson5910
May i have a answer and explanation please ?
@triciaal @mathmate
i think the answer is A
...
Is A right ?
@gamer56 @jim_thompson5910 has given you explanations for your first problem. The second problem is almost identical except for numerical differences. Would you try to reason the same way as Jim and come up with your answer. If you post your answer with justifications, you will get faster responses.
oh
I just thought that getting the answer and an explanation was way better then someone sitting there asking you 500 questions. Can you give the explanation and answer for this problem ? If not i Do understand.
@mathmate
As I said, @jim_thompson5910 has given you ALL the details to solve the first problem. If you follow his steps, you will solve this problem in less time than it takes you to type your previous post! Recall that this is the purpose of the exercise, and that is why Jim explained it to you IN DETAIL so you can solve the next (similar) problem. So sharpen your pencil (so to speak) and work on the second problem. If you're not sure, explain your steps and ask for an opinion.
It still confuses me obviously , But thank you.
@gamer56 , which parts confuse you?
Literally all of it. I know i sound dumb. :S
no you aren't dumb
so you're not sure how I got the y-intercept of 1?
I literally never understand any math subjects. I dont know what to do :/
do you see where the diagonal line cuts the y axis?
umm, Where is the y axis ? Is it the y at the top ?
the y axis is the vertical line
