Identify the polynomial written in descending order. (1 point) Question 14 options: 1) 4x3+ 12x2- 5x - 1 2) -1 - 5x + 12x2+ 4x3 3) -5x - 1 + 4x3+ 12x2 4) 12x2+ 4x3- 1 - 5x

OpenStudy (butterflydreamer):

descending order means highest to lowest :) When we write polynomials in descending order (highest to lowest), this means we write the term with the HIGHEST exponent (power) first and then the lower ones after. For example, x^3 - x^2 - x + 20 is written in descending order :)
