Algebra 1 question? Pretty easy I think
Which statement best describes the graph of x3 - 3x2 - x + 3? A) It starts down on the left and goes up on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = -1, 2, and 3. B) It starts down on the left and goes up on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = -1, 1, and 3. C) It starts up on the left and goes down on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = -1, 2, and 3. D) It starts up on the left and goes down on the right and intersects the x-axis at x = -1, 1, and 3.
I know its either B or D because I graphed it but i don't know how to describe it
You need to factor to find the x-intercepts
and if n is "odd" and a is positive then right side will rise left side will fall ) ---when n(degree) is odd and a is negative then right end will fall left end will rise
hmm n represent degree and a is leading coefficient
heres the graph I made:
Okay based on what you are saying my choice is D
read that again :-)
your graph is |dw:1431886857891:dw|
