Need help with a graphing problem...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how would you describe the graph \[y=\lfloor x-2 \rfloor\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

absolute value??

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No, I'm not sure exactly what its called but it basically rounds the equation down to the nearest whole number

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, floor function!!!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ah thats what its called

OpenStudy (anonymous):

my handy dandy graphing calculator doesn't have floor or ceiling functions :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh, no need floor function is to take value of left integer for example, if x = 2, then y = 0, if x = 2.2, y = 0 also, until x =3, y =1, x = 3..... not 4 yet, y = 1
