Which of the following shows the equation of a line with a slope of -3 and a y-intercept of -1? A) y = -3x - 1 B) y = -x - 3 C) y = -3x + 1 D) y = -x + 3 I am confused and hope that someone maybe able to help me. Thanks

a y=-3x-1

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

y = m x + c where m is slope and c is y intercept.

I am a little confused still but I am thinking answer is A

OpenStudy (er.mohd.amir):

compare equation with y =mx+c which gives u m=-3 and c=-1 hence only option A is right.
