Jason rifled through his backpack. Looking for the article. Getting it to the Daily Learner News office before the noon deadline. That was essential. He had worked on it for weeks. Now it was time to turn it in. To be sure he had not left it in his bedroom. Jason double-checked. Seeing his approaching bus through the window. He began to panic. Quickly retracing his steps in his mind. Jason remembered that he had left it on the printer. He ran through the house with the article in hand. Catching the bus in the nick of time. Question 3 of 17 How many sentence fragments exist in this paragraph?
How many sentence fragments exist in this paragraph? 4 5 6
You know that a fragment is an incomplete sentence or thought, right? So, I know the answer, but tell me your best guess.
*Hint* It's more than four.
I have been thinking that its B
Well, I was thinking C for a while, but then I realized that I wasn't sure about one of the sentences. We have Looking for the article To be sure he had not left it in his bedroom. Seeing his approaching bus through the window. Quickly retracing his steps in his mind Catching the bus in the nick of time. But we also have "Getting it to the Daily Learner News office before the noon deadline." which, while it should be with another sentence, could technically be a complete sentence. I would still say 6, but not 100%.
