Question

Can someone please help me figure out how to start to write this??? I have write dialogue for my story (600-800words) and i have no clue how to start it. I have the introduction to it, just need help on how i need to do the dialogue. Any advice will help!

In a land we now call Italy, we have a man that goes by the name of Montresor. Poor Montresor was not like the other kids when he was growing up and when he begins to think back to his childhood, he sees that. As Montresor thinks back, he realizes he grew up without a mother because she had died while giving birth to him and his dad was verbally abusive to him. His mind reels back to when he was a mere child trying to make friends. Montresor was always made fun of and did not have any friends because nobody liked him. His father seen Montresor without friends and began to think there was something wrong with Montresor. Soon after his father had those thoughts, he had doctors come to visit and do several tests on his son. Montresor disliked the tests and dreaded when the doctors had to return the next day to run more tests. The doctors would tell Montresor's father that they could not find anything but his father would refuse to believe that and made them come back and run those tests again, resulting in the same outcome. This continued for several years until Montresor finally left.

I'm not sure what you need. Do you need help with the transition from exposition to dialogue? Help with the formatting of dialogue? Or are you just stuck with the story, and you aren't sure what to write next? @HQuinn0016

Well, what is the object of this story? What are you trying to convey with the story? if this is an assignment, it's best to consider the assignment details as well.

the story is The Cask of Amontillado by Edgar Allen Poe. but i have to write what happened before the story begins.

the instructions give me a chart, one side saying dialogue and the other saying details. and the instructions say: Write the body of your narrative essay. Use the space provided to plan the dialogue and sensory details you will include as you write the body of your essay. This portion should be approximately 600-800 words in length.

She says that i need dialogue for the body paragraphs and every time someone speaks its a new paragraph.after i do this i will be able to write my conclusion. i just dont know how to do the dialogue.
