When composing, it is important to recognize whether a clause is restrictive or non-restrictive to determine how to punctuate it. Identify which one of the following tips is NOT accurate. a-If removing the description changes the basic meaning, then do not use commas. b-Non-restrictive clauses are also called non-essential clauses. Use commas to set the phrase apart anytime the clause is not essential. c-If you can remove the clause without changing the meaning, then use commas. d-If the phrase contains more than five words, set it apart with commas.
