Read the passage and answer the question that follows. Despite my knowledge that too much TV-watching isn't good for me, my favorite thing to do is watch television. I understand that I have to experience life and learn about the world in different ways. I know all of this; however, I still find it difficult to pull myself away from the television unless there's something very pressing that I have to handle.

OpenStudy (elonasushchik):

Which phrase from the passage acknowledges a contrasting thought and signals that the author will repeat the main point? (5 points) "Despite my knowledge" "I understand that" "I know all of this" "however, I still"

OpenStudy (elonasushchik):

@Thesmarterone what do you think?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the real question is what do YOU think?

OpenStudy (kidrah69):

What do you think is the answer and why?

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

key words: \(\text{acknowledges a contrasting}\) thought and signals that the author will \(\text{repeat the main point}\)

OpenStudy (elonasushchik):

I said many times that i think its the first one but someone said it might be D too

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

\(\color{blue}{\text{Originally Posted by}}\) @ElonaSushchik I think its the first one \(\color{blue}{\text{End of Quote}}\) Nope, yes it does have a contrasting word in it, but it doesn't show the author will repeat the first point.

OpenStudy (elonasushchik):

D

TheSmartOne (thesmartone):

Exactly! The word \(\bf however\) is a contradictory word, and \(\bf still\) means that he is about to repeat his main point.

OpenStudy (elonasushchik):
