What are the excluded values? https://clackamasweb.owschools.com/media/g_ima01_2014/2/267a.gif x = 0 and 3 x = 0 and 2 x = -3 and 3 none of the above

@johnweldon1993

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Excluded here means the denominator can NOT equal 0 So which values make the denominator = 0 here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

none of above?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Hmm \[\large x(x - 3) = 0\] Well, when x = 0...this is 0 right? Any others?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3?

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Right, when x = 3 this also equals 0 So we have x = 0 and x = 3 are both excluded values

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thanks:)
