Can Someone walk me through this? I think I've done it right but would like someone to check it and let me know if I'm wrong... Simplify the Sum: b^2+4b-32/b^2+13b+40 +(PLUS)+ b^2+b-20/b^2+3b-28

OpenStudy (ariellesircy):

First I factored so it was then (x+8)(x-4)/(x+8)(x+5) +PLUS+ (x+5)(x-4)/(x+7)(x-4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What did you get as your answer?

OpenStudy (ariellesircy):

2b^2+13b-3/(b+5)(b+7)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hold on let me check

OpenStudy (ariellesircy):

Okayy, thankyou!

I'm getting \[\Large \frac{2b^2+13b-3}{(b+7)(b+5)}\] as well. Nice job
