i can try.
Ok one sec
The table shows the movie preferences of high school and college students: Movie Preference Action Drama Comedy Row totals High School 40 23 12 75 College 20 51 28 99 Column totals 60 74 40 174 Julie mistakenly calculated the conditional relative frequency for college students who like comedy as being 70%. What did Julie actually calculate, and what is the correct answer? A. She calculated the joint relative frequency for college/comedy. The correct value of conditional relative frequency for college students who like comedy is 28%. B. She calculated the conditional relative frequency for comedy films that are liked by college students. The correct value of conditional relative frequency for college students who like comedy is16%. C. She calculated the conditional relative frequency for comedy films that are liked by college students. The correct answer is 28%. D. She calculated the joint relative frequency for college/comedy. The correct answer is 16%.
@16shuston can u help?
please
Okay so to calculate it you would take 28/99 and u get what?
yes i will help u
0.28 repeating
And she calculated what type of problem? do u know the difference between joint relative and conditional relative
Yes a little
Okay go through those two terms and tell me which one u think it is. becuase your joint is on the inside of the marginal rows. right
Tell you which option I think it is?
yes
I think it is either B or D
Cuz I get 16%
ya it would be d though because she didn't calculate the conditional. she thought she did but she didnt
oh ok! Thank you ..... can u help with 2 more?
yep no problem
Ok one sec
what math class is this?
algebra 1
okay, so what questions do u have
Families were surveyed to see how they spent summer vacation. The results are as follows: One or more children below age 16—Camping: 30; Traveling out of state: 16; Activities in local area: 44 All children 16 or older—Camping: 22; Traveling out of state: 60; Activities in local area: 28 Which of the following is a correct two-way relative frequency table for the data? Camping Traveling out of state Activities in local area Row totals At least one child under 16 0.15 0.08 0.22 0.45 All children 16 or older 0.11 0.30 0.14 0.55 Column totals 0.26 0.38 0.36 1 Camping Traveling out of state Activities in local area Row totals At least one child under 16 30 16 44 90 All children 16 or older 22 60 28 110 Column totals 52 76 72 200 Camping Traveling out of state Activities in local area Row totals At least one child under 16 0.58 0.21 0.61 0.45 All children 16 or older 0.42 0.79 0.39 0.55 Column totals 1 1 1 1 Camping Traveling out of state Activities in local area Row totals At least one child under 16 0.33 0.18 0.49 1 All children 16 or older 0.20 0.55 0.25 1 Column totals 0.26 0.38 0.36 1
It would be B because it gives the correct numbers in which they need to be so that the graph is easier to read for everyone
Oh ok wow ur good at this... last one
Okay and ya, im in precalc, so a lot but not very much is easy for me
Male and female students were asked which location they would most want to visit. They had the following preferences: Which location would you most like to visit? Hawaii Paris Row totals Male students 0.38 0.12 0.50 Female students 0.26 0.24 0.50 Column totals 0.64 0.36 1 Which of the following is a two-way conditional frequency table for gender? Which location would you most like to visit? Hawaii Paris Row totals Male students 0.76 0.24 1 Female students 0.52 0.48 1 Which location would you most like to visit? Hawaii Paris Row totals Male students 38 12 50 Female students 26 24 50 Column totals 64 36 100 Which location would you most like to visit? Hawaii Paris Male students 0.59 0.33 Female students 0.41 0.67 Column totals 1 1 Which location would you most like to visit? Hawaii Paris Row totals Male students 190 60 250 Female students 130 120 250 Column totals 320 180 500
again it would be B because the decimals are moved to form whole numbers.. Gotta love higher math classes, trust me stay in all math classes, they are extremely helpful in the future
Lol yep! Thank you
Wait I just notice i have one more
Do u think you can help me with it?
