1/5*290
OpenStudy (anonymous):
how did you get this answer
OpenStudy (hockeychick23):
ok so it says that an orange has 1/5 the number of calories as a slice of pizza.
A slice of pizza is 290 calories so we can set it up as the equation
1/5(290)= x
OpenStudy (hockeychick23):
x= calories in an orange
OpenStudy (anonymous):
so u have to solve for x?

do you get how i got that?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
no can you help me
OpenStudy (hockeychick23):
yepp, so you just do .2*290
OpenStudy (hockeychick23):
because .2= 1/5 which we use because an orange only has 1/5 of the calories that a piece of pizza has
OpenStudy (anonymous):
yes i understand that
