Help Please!!!!! Ill Give Medal!!!!! Are the following statements always true, sometimes true, or never true? For statements that are always true or never true, explain how you know this. For statements that are sometimes true, draw an example showing the statement's being true and an example showing the statement's being untrue. (a) a triangle with an obtuse angle ? has an acute angle. (b) A triangle with a right angle ? has an obtuse angle (c) A triangle with an acute angle ? has an obtuse angle. (d) A triangle with an acute angle ? have another acute angle.

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

|dw:1432048821219:dw| This is an obtuse angle, right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yep

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

So what would the angle be if you were to complete it?

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

|dw:1432049198369:dw| This is acute right?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

|dw:1432049223943:dw| yep

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

So therefore, question A, the answer is always yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D

OpenStudy (anonymous):

um in not sure but i think that D is never

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i meant B not D lol

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Oh okay. Yes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yay lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

im almost positive that C is always because its basically the same as A lol

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

Yep.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and for D im positive its not never but other than that im not sure

OpenStudy (kyanthedoodle):

I think D can sometimes be true. |dw:1432049610757:dw|

OpenStudy (anonymous):

:D yay thanks i have more but i need to type it out so it might take a bit

OpenStudy (mrnood):

An obtuse angle is > 90 deg A right angle is 90 deg THREE angles in a triangle add up to 180 deg that should be all you need to answer all the options...

Ms. Jones keeps her pigs in her fenced pen that has the shape of a regular pentagon. the area of the pen is 50 ft2 and the apothem is 4ft. Ms. Joes has decided that she wants to remake the pig living area to be in the shape of a rectangle instead. She wants to reuse the same amount of fence to make the new rectangular living space. |dw:1432050266619:dw| Ms. Jones want to give her pigs as much living space as possible. What should the dimensions and are of the rectangular space be in order to provide the most area with the given amount of fence? Ms. Jones plans to cut the fence only in half and whole foot units.

OpenStudy (mrnood):

you hve 5 triangle - so oyu can calculate the centre angle of each there fore you can calculate the side (from tan function) Do that first

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sorry to ask but could i get a direct answer its the last day of school for me and im just trying to get as much done as possible

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you can explain how u go it if u wants

OpenStudy (anonymous):
