My choice was the oil industry

Here is what I got so far

The first modern oil well was drilled in Asia, on the Asp-heron Peninsula North-East of Baku in 1848, by a Russian engineer F.N Semyenov- though it did not become popular (or a major industry) until the late 1800’s, it was still a great improvement and (in todays time) one of the most important advancements all time- It is important because most everything that is in the world requires oil in order to run properly.
When the first spark of the oil industry struck people’s Homes most questioned whether it was safe or not to use it in everyday household activities (like or lighting the stove)- but eventually they got over their fright and now everybody uses it for almost everything (especially for automobiles.)
