Help? If tan A = 2, what is the value of x? http://i.imgur.com/nPuRph6.gif A. 3.5 B. 5.5 C. 14.0 D. 28.0

OpenStudy (johnweldon1993):

Well, We know from SOH-CAH-TOA That \(\large Tangent = \frac{opposite}{adjacent}\) So from your drawing |dw:1432059997003:dw| We know that \[\large tan(A) = \frac{x}{7}\] So if THAT equals 2...we just solve for x \[\large \frac{x}{7} = 2\]

Thank you :3
