what number times itself 3 times = -216 ? we could try -2: -2*-2*-2 = 4*-2= -8 which is clearly wrong or -10: -10 * -10 * -10 = 100 *-10 = -1000 -2 is not enough and -10 is too much you could test other numbers, example: -5 or -6
