Charlemagne was no explorer. Marco Polo wrote a book saying he made it to China from Italy. and ibn Battuta traveled mostly by land through the Middle East and North Africa.

yup, Lief made it to North America but didn't realize it was a continent. Looked like a nice island to him. The Vikings stayed awhile but left after a while.
