Why are acids and bases good conductors of electricity in solution? @ZackDaAnswerBoss♦

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Because acids and bases are ions that dissociate readily. HCl acid dissociates to H+ and Cl-, and with ions in solution the water becomes a good conductor for electrons to pass by on the ions.
