OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Are you solving it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i already tried to solve it was wrong

@Preetha

OpenStudy (anonymous):

125^-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

5^3 is basically 5*5*5 and you do that twice because of the other ^

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you get 5*5*5*5*5*5 and since its a negative you always want the positive its 1/5*5*5*5*5*5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

and the negative will never carry if you put that one over the negative =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you get it @otaku789

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

good =)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think so

OpenStudy (anonymous):

dont think know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

what do you not get ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

how you got the answer cause i did that and my teacher said it was wrong

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so 5^3 is basically 5*5*5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because you multiply 5 by itself 3 times

OpenStudy (anonymous):

then you do it another 2 but its negative so you would get -5*5*5*5*5*5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the last ^-2 is what gets people cuz they get 125 and want to square it and you would get none of the answers up there btw

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the ^-2 tells you to do what you did again but it turns the problem into a negative

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after that you have -5*-5 (rep 3 times)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

after that you still have your negative you want to get rid of so put it as a fraction 1/ 5*5*5*5*5*5 and its positive so answer is correct

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thxs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no problem =)
