Check my answer please. Medal and Fan. Identify the resulting probability as theoretical or experimental. The outcomes for rolling a number cube with faces labeled 1− 6 are equally likely. Find the probability that the number rolled is at least a 4. A. The experimental probability is 1/2 . B. The experimental probability is 1/3 . C. The theoretical probability is 1/2 . D. The theoretical probability is 1/3 .

My answer is B.

OpenStudy (agl202):

its option number "B" ... as we know 2/6 = 1/3... also see the main difference between theoretical and experimental probability... Theoretical probability is the probability that is calculated using math formulas. This is the probability based on math theory. Experimental probability is calculated when the actual situation or problem is performed as an experiment. In this case, you would perform the experiment, and use the actual results to determine the probability.
